Antariksh Venture Capital Fund
Overview
Antariksh Venture Capital Fund is a Category II AIF managed by SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd (SVCL) with a 10-year tenure, targeting Rs 1,600 crore to back early- and growth-stage Indian spacetech companies across launch systems, satellites, payloads, in-space services, ground services, earth observation, and communications/downstream applications. The fund is anchored by Rs 1,000 crore from India's IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre) and announced its first close at Rs 1,005 crore, later reported to have secured Rs 1,600 crore. Its first investment was in spacetech company Dhruva Space. The initiative supports India's goal of a $44 billion space economy by 2033.
