Avaana Capital completed final close of its Avaana Climate and Sustainability Fund at $135 million -- India's largest climate-tech VC fund at the time -- backed by the Green Climate Fund, the US DFC, the UK-India Development Cooperation Fund, SIDBI, and the Azim Premji Trust. The fund targets 20-25 early-stage companies (Rs 10-30 crore initial investments) across energy/resource management, mobility/supply chains, and sustainable agriculture/food systems, addressing sectors responsible for 90% of India's carbon emissions.
