SWAMIH Investment Fund I
Overview
SWAMIH Investment Fund I is a government-backed Category II AIF managed by SBI Ventures Ltd, designed to complete stalled housing projects rather than fund new ones. Prior to launch, an estimated 1,509 stalled projects (4.58 lakh units) required roughly Rs 55,000 crore in support. The fund has sanctioned more than Rs 14,800 crore in capital across 127 unlocked projects (Rs 37,400 crore total project value unlocked), delivering 63,200+ homes toward a 101,443-home portfolio, generating customer collections of Rs 10,470 crore and creating 36,000+ jobs (15% women, 3,520 permanent roles). A follow-on SWAMIH Fund-2 of Rs 15,000 crore was announced to complete a further 1 lakh units.
