Overview

ARDC originated when Hank Magnuski (KA6M) was assigned a 16.7-million-address IPv4 netblock (44/8) for amateur radio use. In 2019, the organization restructured from a nonprofit corporation into a private foundation and sold roughly a quarter of the unused block to fund an ongoing grant program.
