Chicago CRED, founded 2016 by Arne Duncan (former US Secretary of Education, former CEO of Chicago Public Schools) and Laurene Powell Jobs, is a nonprofit addressing gun violence in Chicago. Primarily funded by Emerson Collective; also received a $21M grant from the Sue Ling Gin Foundation (2023) and support from impact investor Chicago Beyond and ADT.
