Overview
The Ebell of Los Angeles, founded 1894 by the Parsons sisters as a women's education and philanthropy club (named for German education advocate Adrian John Ebell), has run a Scholarship Endowment for 100 years, granting 5,000+ scholarships to local college/university students. A separate 501(c)(3), Ebell Friends, was founded 2019 specifically to endow preservation and restoration of the historic clubhouse building.
