Esas Holding, founded 2000 by Sevket Sabancı (first/second-generation member of the Sabancı family, one of Turkey's most prominent business dynasties), was established as a separate investment platform after Sabancı stepped back from active duties at Sabancı Holding while retaining his shares there. Turkey's largest and most organized single-LP family fund, funding direct investments entirely from its own balance sheet (no external LPs) across aviation, retail, entertainment/leisure, healthcare, food, real estate, and logistics -- taking control, joint-control, or significant-minority positions with a typical 5-7 year exit horizon, extendable given the single-LP structure.
