Overview
Française des Jeux traces to the French National Lottery (founded 1933 to aid wounded WWI veterans), renamed La Française des Jeux in 1991, and rebranded FDJ United in March 2025. Previously state-owned, FDJ went public in 2018; following 2019 privatization the French government retains a 22% stake, with 78% held by institutional and individual investors. Operates Loto, EuroMillions, Illiko scratch games, and the ParionsSport betting brand.
