Fredensborg AS, founded 1994 in Oslo by Ivar Tollefsen after his first purchase of a 20-apartment building, is a value-based, evergreen-horizon real estate investment company. Now one of the largest owners of rental housing in Scandinavia (27,000+ apartments), it operates through four subsidiaries: Heimstaden (listed, European rental + Swedish housing development), Fredensborg Bolig (Norwegian housing development), Utleiemegleren (Norway's largest rental/management company), and Fredensborg Leisure (hotels and holiday rentals). Plans include a EUR500M push into the Spanish hotel market.
