Overview
France's supplementary pension scheme for non-permanent (contractual) public-sector employees, created by decree effective 1 January 1971 from the merger of two earlier schemes (Ipacte, 1949, and Igrante, 1960). Targets roughly 10% of its portfolio in alternatives (private equity, infrastructure, real estate), managed through the Caisse des Dépôts investment platform, and is recognized for leadership in responsible-investment policy among French pension institutions. AUM reported at approximately USD 15 billion (undated figure).
