Merseyside Pension Fund

Overview

Local Government Pension Scheme fund for Merseyside public-sector employees, administered by Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council. Pools assets with Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire Pension Funds into the Northern LGPS joint venture (~£61.4bn combined partner assets as of 31 March 2024), running in-house teams managing roughly £17bn of unlisted assets including private equity and private credit. Fund assets were £10.8 billion as of 31 March 2024, up from £10.4bn a year earlier.
