NN Group N.V.
The Hague, Netherlands
Overview
Major Dutch insurer, formed in 2013 as the parent holding company for the European and Japanese insurance operations spun off from ING (underlying Nationale-Nederlanden brand is much older). Its former asset-management arm, NN Investment Partners, was sold to Goldman Sachs Group for EUR 1.7 billion (deal completed April 2022) and no longer exists as a separate entity; NN Group's own balance-sheet and defined-contribution assets are now managed externally by Goldman Sachs Asset Management under a 10-year strategic partnership signed alongside that sale.
