Japanese pension aggregator established in its present form in 2004 under a revision of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act (predecessor federation founded 1967); consolidates corporate pension assets — employees' pension funds, defined-benefit, and defined-contribution plans — for individuals who leave employers after short tenure.
