Overview

Pon Holdings, tracing to an 1867 Amsterdam-area shop selling soap, sewing machines, and tobacco, was formally founded 1895 as a bicycle business by the Pon family and evolved into a multinational conglomerate distributing Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, and Caterpillar equipment, among other brands. Now five generations in, the family launched Knop Investments in 2022 as a dedicated single family office spanning direct co-investments, SPVs, fund commitments, and private equity from early-stage venture through buyout, with a concentrated focus on climate tech, energy transition, and sustainable mobility.
