Overview

Proparco, established 1977, is France's development finance institution, majority-owned (79.8%) by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), with the remainder held by French financial institutions, international financial organizations, French companies, and investment funds/foundations. Fosters private investment in emerging/developing economies (Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East, 115+ countries) via loans, equity stakes, guarantees, and technical support, financing operations that are economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and socially equitable across infrastructure, agriculture, industry, finance, and social services.
