Global general insurer/reinsurer headquartered in Sydney (founded 1886 as The North Queensland Insurance Company; "QBE" name from a 1973 merger). Funds Under Management of US$35.8 billion as at 31 December 2025 (up 17% year on year), representing QBE's own insurance-float and shareholder-capital investment portfolio (~85% fixed income / 15% risk assets) -- not a separately incorporated asset-management arm. Figure is USD-denominated (QBE's reporting currency), not AUD.
