Reitan AS, founded 1948 by Ole and Margit Reitan with their first Trondheim retail store, is a privately held Norwegian conglomerate now led by second/third-generation family members Odd Reitan, Ole Robert Reitan, and Magnus Reitan. Organized across three business areas: Reitan Retail (including the REMA 1000 discount chain, launched 1979), Reitan Eiendom (property), and Reitan Kapital (financial services/investments, established 2016 to manage the group's surplus liquidity via a disciplined, evidence-based global portfolio, headed by Magnus Reitan).
