Overview

RPG Ventures traces to RPG Enterprises, founded 1979 by Dr. Rama Prasad Goenka (Phillips Carbon Black, Asian Cables, Agarpara Jute, Murphy India). A roughly 2010-2011 family split divided the group: Harsh Goenka retained RPG Enterprises' industrial arms (CEAT, KEC International, Zensar), while his brother Sanjiv Goenka formed the separate RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group (power, retail, media). RPG Ventures backs early-stage startups in senior care, fintech, and logistics (e.g. seniority.in); the RP-Sanjiv Goenka side pursues an Alternative Investment Fund structure targeting FMCG, consumer durables, and consumer-enabling technology, with the group company anchoring as lead LP at Rs 100cr.
