Overview
The Self-Reliant India (SRI) Fund, a Rs 50,000cr fund-of-funds announced May 13, 2020 under the Atmanirbhar Bharat package, comprises Rs 10,000cr from the Government of India plus Rs 40,000cr from private PE/VC funds. Structured as Mother/Daughter Funds -- the Mother Fund invests only in Daughter Funds, which deploy growth capital directly into MSMEs -- implemented via NSIC Venture Capital Fund Limited (a 100% subsidiary of NSIC, under the Ministry of MSME).
