Solvac SA, founded 1983, is a Belgian holding company grouping the investments of the descendants of Ernest Solvay (founder of chemicals group Solvay). Its principal activity is managing a long-term stake exceeding 30% in Solvay SA and its spinoff Syensqo, making it the reference shareholder with blocking-minority influence over corporate governance. More than 2,300 members of the founding families hold roughly 77% of Solvac's own shares, providing a stable multi-generational ownership base.
