Unilazer Ventures is the Mumbai-based single family office of Ronnie Screwvala, the media entrepreneur who built UTV Software Communications before divesting it to The Walt Disney Company in 2012. Takes significant minority stakes in Indian new-economy companies around a consumption-led thesis, spanning consumer/retail/services alongside agriculture, healthcare, microfinance, and education. Portfolio of roughly 32 companies including Lenskart, upGrad, and DailyObjects, with at least one unicorn, one public listing, and about eight acquisitions. Screwvala is sole Founder & Managing Director and final decision-maker on all direct equity commitments.
