Its alternatives exposure is run through Zurich Alternative Asset Management (ZAAM), a wholly-owned subsidiary founded in 2006 that invests solely on behalf of Zurich Group affiliates worldwide across hedge funds, private equity and US real estate, alongside the group's broader in-house Investment Management function. Zurich allocates roughly 9% of its total investment portfolio to alternatives (private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure).
