Overview
Woloo (World of Loo) is India’s first smart hygiene network and loo-discovery mobile app that helps women locate clean, safe, and hygienic public washrooms when away from home or office. Founded in 2019 by Manish Kelshikar, Rupali Kelshikar, and Supreet Shah, “Woloo” stands for “Women’s Loo”. The startup covers 25,000+ washrooms across 400+ Indian cities, all WAH (Woloo Assurance of Hygiene) certified through partnership with the World Bank-affiliated Toilet Board Coalition. Woloo operates three verticals: Loo Locator App, Hygiene Monitoring IoT system, and Woloo Powder Rooms (women-centric retail + aspirational toilets). The app offers map-based discovery, hygiene reviews, and loyalty points, with subscriptions at ₹99/month in Mumbai. Its mission is to enable 100,000 janitors to manage 1 million toilets for 100 million users while creating employment for 50,000 women.
